And let's be honest here, if you remove “gotta have the newest" out of the equation, you can find an excellent quality phone with all the latest features with many of the brands that have Android-powered phones. The difference between better and best is usually negligible, but you'll pay a premium for it.

Android (Usually) Does It First

Apple always makes a big splash about their latest version of the iPhone and all it's cool new tricks. The thing is, most of these tricks have already been done before on Android. Customizable menus? Android was first. Waterproof/resistant? Android. USB-C connections? Yup. Android.

This certainly doesn't mean Android does it best, but they definitely do it first. If you're one of those tech-loving individuals who loves to have the newest features first, Android is where it's at.
